gp mirrors on grand am

Anyone know if GP dual post mirrors 97+ will fit 99+ grand am as they look identical??
I see them at all the junk yards, more so than grand am dual post
and a friend may have a set for free. Just curious.

With everyone looking for dual post this might be an alternative??

You might be able to 'make' them fit but for the record, they are NOT the same ... don't remember everything in terms of how they are different but i do know the 'point' at the front is sharper than the GA version.

nope my cousin thought the same thing and the part that bolts to the car doesnt fit the same. there is a gap. the bolts fit through the hole though it doesnt look right with the gap. there is a 3-5 cm gap around the top and bottom of the mirror.

not to jack this thread but anyone know if newer grand am mirrors would fit a 96 ga?

From what I've heard, the 99+ mirrors are different from the 4th Gen mirrors.
