So I've been obsessed with this since I saw the first commercial for a 2007 Chrysler Sebring. I found these for a reasonable price, but think they may be too large to fit to mold into our center consoles... 2nd opinions?

Also, any other vehicles feature warming/cooling cup holders? would rather go to a yard and rip apart some mercedes.

Rick IMO somthing like that is not worth it. Maybe it because I wont allow beverages in my car  But yeah I wouldnt bother with it myself. Do you really need somthing like that?

If you want it integrated, personally I'd do this instead...
Grab one of those small portable mini fridge/warmers. ($30-40 at target) Rip it apart and grab the Peltier panel out of it (and maybe the fan if appropriately sized) and install it in the center console. It would be much more effective, and probably a cleaner install. Thought about doing that once... but don't really use that car daily anymore.

hmmm, that could possibly work Matt. I'm gonna be using the car alot with a new position i'm taking, so keeping my coffee hot is gonna be a top priority :)

Its hot when you buy it, so drink it before it goes cold :roll2:
Or you could buy a heated mug. My little step brother got me a travel mug that plugs into the car that keeps your coffee warm, really warm or hot. I havent tried it out yet cause I drink my coffee before it gets cold, rather then staring at it while it gets cold.

Not sure if this is what you would be interested in. Its to be used for computers, but im sure it can be modified to be used in a car.

Well I guess then, do we really *need* anything we do to our cars?

if that actually works, it'll be easier to mod in, and cleaner. just cut the bottom of the cupholder out, mod that into it and reroute the switch. Power would be easy enough... i have a similar one that's usb powered that doesnt work at all though, thats why i'm a little skeptical of it.

Avoid any of the USB powered ones, since they (have to) use a rather weak Peltier panel in it, since USB can only supply 0.5 Amps per device. It will work - just not very effectively.
