Something happened to my Hella Optilux foglights :(

I went to the carwash thursday night, they worked fine... Friday morning I went to turn them on for work, nada... I hear the relay click, and the little foglight light comes on on my dash, but the lights don't work... My bf checked the fuse last night, and it's not blown.. So I don't know what the heck it could be :(

also, I don't know if it's of any importance.. But sometimes at random the past week or so, I'll here what sounds my turn signal "clicker" clicking at different speeds, when my clickers aren't on.. I don't know if it's any connection or not

Your fog light switch is probably the culprit.

Its what happened to me, exactly the way you explained it. I got a new one at the dealer for $20.

Going through the carwash could just be a coinscedence (sp?).

but if the relay clicks doesnt that mean the switch is working? i had a similar problem and oddly enough both bulbs popped at the same time. or the sockets that they plug in to could have been damaged by the car wash.

In the past I have had alot of problems with the bulbs going on mine, so I would check the bulbs. You might be able to just look at them and see if the bulb is toast or not. I know how they can be a pita to pull out and change.

You could also grab a multimeter and chck to see if there is power on the (+) wire that connects to the light and the switch wire at the light also to see if you have power. If you do then it's probably the bulb.

Looks like the bulbs are fine :(

You can only be sure with a multimeter

Well that answers it to me. I assume it was moisture got under the hood and futzed up the relay. Has to be that.
