Alpine type-x?

How good are the type-x subs? I had the type-r's and loved them, but I was just wondering how much better and louder they were than the type-r's? I just bought one since it was pretty much a steal price.

Type X is all I would buy for subs from alpine, my buddy had one until he over powered it. Wow did it put out a punch. One sub and a good amp is all U need.

onlinecasrstereo.com is the only place that I order from. Well since I just bought that sub and I bought the Alpine MRD-M1005 amp yesterday, I guess I might just go ahead and buy another type-x and another alpine amp.

one of my buddies has 2 of those in his stratus and has his car completly dynamatted and it still makes the roof "bubble up"

I used to have 2 type-r's and it got loud. I wanted more bass and since I loved the type-r's I figured why not just stick with alpine except upgrade to a better sub. I can't wait to get it in the car now! My trunk is also dynamatted by the way.

either way it is still a good amp to me. I can't wait to get it both type-x's in with the alpine amps. Should sound awesome!
