I was looking through the posts and couldnt come up with a def answer so i figured i would ask...

I have a set of 18x8 that im looking to get on for the summer. The guy at the shop said i could run 245/ 40 18 without rub and i was just wondering if anyone else was running this setup or if i should go with a different size.

245 is awefully big for 18 x 8 wheel they may be too wide, but don't quote me on that. Reason I say that is I have 245's on my 19 x 9 wheels

On my 18's that I had, they were 215 or 225 which is more than sufficient, but I don't think you'll have rub issues... then again I don't have wheel wells so I don't really know. Are you dropped too?

No im not dropped yet. lol need some more funds. I dont have wheel wells either since i put on the body kit and such. The tires should fit the rims. And without the wells being there i think i should be ok but i was just checkin.

225 or 235 will fit no problem, even with a drop and fender lining.
