How do I register?

How much does registration cost?

Registration to Albany 2007 is $20 for Car & Driver*, plus $5 for each Passenger*. This registration fee covers the cost of the Thatcher Park Show & Shine and the BBQ lunch provided that day. There will be other costs associated with the meet, not covered by the registration fee, such as accomodations, entrance to Lebannon Valley Dragway, and meals.

* - All payments in US funds via Paypal or check/money order (Paypal preferred).

Is there a registration deadline?

The Albany 2007 meet registration deadline is June 15th.

Where can I purchase Albany 200 Merchandise?

The official Albany Merchandise is available in our CafePress shop here: http://www.cafepress.com/gaownersclub/2542554

All (minimal) profits from items sold goes directly into the club. As well, CafePress has a great return policy if you are not satisfied with your goods.

Why is the meet held in Albany, NY?

This question is asked often. When picking a place to host an event such as this, many factors are considered. We need some place that is close to a large portion of our membership, that has a track, park, and accommodations that suit our needs. Albany, NY was the site of the first International meet, and is the home of ClubECM (http://www.clubecm.net), the host of the event.

We realize that the event may be too far away for you to make it, and that we regret. But for now, the venue for this meet will not change. However you are encouraged to set up your own local meets through our Regional Meet (http://www.gaownersclub.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=47) sections on the forum.

What if I don't register. Can I just show up?

If you are unable to register, but find you are available for the meet, we ask that you register in person when you arrive. Look for one of the members of ClubECM, they will be the ones in the blue 'Event Staff' t-shirts, and they will be able to help you. Due to the costs associated with putting on the meet, we can't allow people to attend for free while everyone else pays.

How many years has this meet been running?

The first Albany meet was held in 2002. The meet exploded in 2003, and has been growing ever since. This will be the 5th annual meet, and we hope not the last.
