Does anyone have these? http://www.colorlugs.com/

I thought they looked a little to good on the net pictures, I wanted to see them on a car that was not on their site, like they are photo shopped on their site.

I looked at actually colored lugs, but the red always looks more pink than red and these are much cheaper.

I dunno those look kinda crappy to me, lol.

I'd say either get proper anodised colour lugs or, if you have chromed lugs, get yourself a can of dupli-color metalcast in the right colour and spray away, lol. Of course the metalcast will likely be easy to scratch off with sockets so you might want to put papertowel or similar over the lug when driving it to prevent excessive paint scratching on the lugs.

I mean you could try these covers out, but they just look like plastic/rubber covers and though they will look good from a distance they probably won't close-up.

yeah they are not that expensive, so I might give them a try and see, and report back, I will be the guinea pig....lol.

Not bad, I'd rock them.

Problem with real anodized stuff is that it fades, fast. All teh anodized parts I purchased for my motorcycle from various companies, including GYTR faded to a pinkish color with-in 6 months and I had to paint them with metal cast.

Problem with painting lug nuts with metal cast is, well they are lug nuts. Installing them your bound to mark them up. You could try masking tape on them but I doubt it'll help much.

Another option is powder coating.

I really don't like the plastic covers but there are cheap. Give them a try.

There's really not much you can do with lug nuts and keep them nice looking. Chrome, nickel and powder coatings all crack and anodizing is for aluminum.

Stainless is a bitch to machine especially when threading.

I end up replacing the lugs every couple of years due to rust showing up after the chrome cracks. I only use them in the summer with my alloy wheels.

Actually now that I see those, they do look nice. I just get frightened when I read the wording of "chrome plated plastic"....

It would blow to have the plating come off from one drive through the car wash....... or little stone chip damage too...
