just ground out that wire, should accomplish the same thing, tis what I had to do for my remote start.

Wrong.Simply grounding out the e brake wire will not work. The Jensen unit ,and also many other brand of indash video units now require a sequence of ebrake on/off before it will allow a dvd to come up on the screen. Now, if you ground the e brake wire and put a toggle switch inline with it, that will help accomplish your goals of breaking the law and watching dvd's while driving.

If your looking to install it the way its meant to be, you can just run the wire to the e brake itself...no need to rip appart the dash. Their is 1 wire at the base of the e brake lever/pedal. Connect the wire from the headunit to this wire and try the sequence that's caled for by the manufacturer in order to allow dvd's to come up on the screen.

so where should ground it at? can i splice it with the ground wire? i really dont want a toggle switch, its bad enough i play around too much with on/off button for the guages.

I think I used the ground in the radio harness, it works fine.

the ground qwire for the radio works,or just use the nut in the fuse panel

You can use the ground in the radio harness....but any bolt or bare metal chassis location will work.

Then having mobile video visable to the driver while driving might be a bad idea for you. If you don't think you can handle having a toggle switch, I highly suggest hooking it up the "legally correct" way...to the e brake.
