The snow ate your tires?
Wider is not better in snow, narrow is better.

Narrow = better for snow/ice. P195/65R15 should be a decent fit.

I have 205/65-15 on the stock wheels with snow tires. The stock 215/60-15 is less redily available. I think that would work well on the 97

205/65R15 is slightly taller than stock, Ray. 195/65R15 works out to be closest to stock diameter. Not much difference, but a difference none the less.

Yeah, the 215/60 are smaller too, I was thinking he wanted to get noticeably wider but not extreme. I have a new set of Michelin 225/50-15 that I no longer can use, they would be too wide and shorter than stock. I don't know what size is stock on a 97. I thought it was a taller tire because of the 16" option

i think the gt's could get 16's but not the se's. Yeah in truth i think i'm just going to get the same size as now but better tread.
