alright i got a question. im looking to do a top end swich. i looked at mms and they got there stage 1 package. then i saw at 60degreev6 there 3500 top end swich which basically has everything the mms has to offer but with the 3500 lim, heads. wuts the better choice for performance. i know the v6 store is cheaper by a couple hundred.

The fastest N/A car I've seen yet is from MMS. Someone have any info that I don't know?

Do alot of research on here and GAGT forums and you will find your answer.

are the 3500 UIM and LIM proted? Cause the 3400 ported stuff from MMS will flow better then stock 3500 parts. Im not familur with the 60 degree store.

yes the heads and lim ar ported on the 3500 the kit comes with a ported 3400 uim because the 3400 flows better then the 3500.

Instead of telling people to search, why don't you explain your reasoning for MMS stage 1 porting to better than 3500 parts.

Wrong...... the stock un ported 3500 heads outflow MMS stage 1 3400 heads and also outflow the MMS stage 2 3400 heads till .400" of lift.
Ask any performance shop or head porter and they will tell you that you want better low lift numbers. Also velocity on the 3500 heads is going to be superior due to the design.
The 3500 swap with ported manifolds is by far the best way to go.

3500 swap would be the best. A good way to look at it is this. stock 3400 run 175 hp and 205 ft-lbs of torque, stock 3500 runs 200 hp and 220 ft-lbs of torque. 25 extra hp and 15 ft-lbs of torque dont just come from a slight boring out of 100cc. THe overall design of the 3500 top end is superior.

yes but you cannot take the HP claim from the heads/intakes alone, the bore and CR are higher from the 3500, but there are a few other things that make the 3500 have more output. it is superior though, and 01gagt should know what he is talking about because he has done it and should get numbers soon i hope. i just dont like the lost CR of the swap myself, i know it flows better and may be better for a boosted setup but i would rather have the higher CR of the 3500 engine. i would like to see a 3500 swap soon, because it has more potential i think and will be the norm soon. i dont have time or finances right now, or i would do it.

I honestly would go through ben and get the 3500 top end. And you wont have to worry about core charges from the 60*v6 store like from milzy, unless he doesnt require them anymore.

ive been contemplatin this for a while now...so if i were to get the ported stuff from 60* it would be better than the mms stage 2 package...well wat im wantin is the stage 2 package from mms and if this will provide better gains and better potential then im game for the swap...any info is great...this thread has been quite helpful for me

i think that you would need extensive tune time to make the MMS 2 streetable, and even then youd prob have to run high octane, and then it would prob not give you what you wanted. i think the 3500 swap is good for what alot of people are looking for, esp for boost. im still waiting on numbers from the 3500 swap to make sure its what i want.

The 3500 setup is sweet for NA. You would have to add material to the 3400 intake ports to get the same type benefit as doing the 3500 top end. I think that with a cam, pushrods, 65mm billet TB, ported 3500 manifolds, and either your own tuner or having it tuned would run much less than the MMS stuff.
For boost, the 3400 stuff can flow more than 3500 but I still like the 3500 design. Maybe an all out race effort setup would like the ported 3400 top end more (due to the metal gasket for the lower). That is about all you are missing for the 3500.
