Ok so yesterday I bought a Directed Elecronics DIY Remote Start/Kelyess Entry Kit for my 99 GAGT. The paperwork from the website says I need a module to bypass the Passlock (555LW), and a module for the door locks (456LW). However, a model has been created which combines the features of both the 555LW and the 456LW into the 457GW. The only problem, is that Directed Electronics claims if the 457GW is used the door locks will not be controlled. Is this right? Has anyone heard of this before? If I can save myself $30 by buying just one module that would be great; I dont want to buy more than I need.

If DEI says that and it's their product I'm sure they know what they're talking about. They have like ten different models you can use for PassLock bypass, old and new, so I can't keep track of all the model numbers.

I say just get the PassLock bypass and wire the door locks yourself.

all you need is the passlock bypass, for your locks just use a 5cent resister
