I am planning to do some work on the trim on the door panels this spring, and I'm just wondering if anyone has ever done anything different with the fabric on the upper half of the 92-95 door panels. If so, what did you do and what did it cost. I'd love to see some ideas of some different ideas. Thanks. I have some ideas for most of the trim in the car, but I figure I'll work on the door panels when I take them off to do the speakers anyways. Thanks guys

I haven't done anything, yet... but I did investigate how to change the cloth piece. It will be rather easy to do. You can easily replace with new fabric (or remove and dye the existing one), or replace with vinyl or leather inserts.

I was thinking of putting either black leather inserts, or I saw a guy once with a Corolla that made his inserts out of kevlar fabric, and those looked pretty slick. How do they come off?

You'll see the edges overlap onto the rear of the door panel. It appears there's glue underneath.

The panels are pretty much glued together... You'll need to release that glue on the fabric.

Been planning on taking mine out and replacing it with leather or leather substitute  for the longest.

 "Release" - I like the way you put that. Translation... need to rip all the shit off.
