Eibach and Intrax both make lowering springs, both are a solid choice.
Eibach = ~1.0"
Intrax = 1.8~2.0"
I'm using Intrax. Quite satisfied with the look and improved handling.
Costs...
springs $180~250
install (unless you're doing it yourself) - $125~200
wheel alignment - should be a fixed rate at most shops... usually in the $59-70 range.
camber bolt kit $15-25 (may or may not be require to for alignment, mine required it)
Be sure to replace the struts and shocks when lowering (same amount of labor to do so anyway) - if they aren't already worn out, they will be shortly afterwards. KYB is a popular/recommended choice.

I have to disagree w/ the eibach theory as me and nvmyga have proved... I feel that the guesstimates that they offer are incorrect
At one point, his car was setup as follows:
18" GT 7 spoke wheels w/ a 40 series side wall on eibachs w/ aed kit
I had 18" motegi mr-7 w/ a 35 series side wall on intrax w/ aed it. Our front ends BOTH were exactly 4 1/4" from the ground. He had less wheel well gap, but I assume that to be from the 40 series vs the 35 series maybe
while intrax claims to drop more, in my opinion both of the major brands do about the same
sprint is another brand, and I think they claim 2.25". Couple people on here have them, nothing negative as far as i've seen

If your friend had less gap then he had taller tires or his dropped more. measuring kit gaps is not an accurate method. If you mesured door handles or some other stock part, you would have a more accurate measurement. Not saying the results were wrong, just the assumtions.

I have spring tech off ebay... ok springs, but need to find some quality struts that are setup for lowered cars. I have tried 2 sets of struts and still bounce down the road... any suggestions???
