im thinkin about getting the metra adapter from crutchfield and was reading the instructions and it says that i only hook up the white and gray rca plugs to the front preamp on my cd player, is this also true for the monsoon amp or do i have to hook up all 4

You dont have onstar so you dont need the one that you put up. The second one is the one you need.

What? Bose is no better. In fact, I'd say it's slightly worse.

Oh yea I know but at least Bose puts out a better quality sound to begin with.

NOOOOOO ur both wrong.......I just bought a radio thru crutchfield for my 2001 gagt. Use the GMOS-04 harness. it looks complicated wen u first open it but, u tape a few wires together (5ish?) and then u put 4 RCA plugs on the new deck from the harness. works like a charm. and 50 bucks vs 100+ at best buy is great. AND dont worry about putting it in, im 17-first install everrrr. SO DAMN EASY!!!!! im completely honest here too, it was really easy, CRUTCHFIELD made it rele easy too.
well good luck dude, any questions feel free to IM me at aol screen name r34skyline276

We can tell.
Please learn to install before telling others how to do so.

I got my new Speakers and HU from Crutchfield and the intergration set up for 40 bucks from them. all I used it for was to retain the door chimes I cut off and taped the extra wires from the intergration unit and rewired my speakers witha heaver gauge wire becuase I plan on amping those speakers later on.

Paul, Dan has a good point about learning to install. I've installed two radios in my life, one in a golf cart and one in a car, and I only used tape for temporary connections or to cover a crimped connection. You want to use wire nuts or butt connectors for a better hold. Solder works just as well or better but isn't as easy to use when working in the car and sometimes half in the dash hole.
