well guys my car will soon be getting a full paint job and i plan to convert it to a GT. so i talked the guy whos gonna paint her for me and he said that i could save myself nearly $1k if i did the "wrench turning" to prep the car on my own time. now i have a list of things i need to remove to prep the car for paint. ive done some searches and found a lot of the info i needed. but it seems no one has asked how to: remove the rear bumper; remove the door handles; remove the trim around the side windows. i no that the door handles and rear bumper should just be some bolts here and there but wat about the trim. looks to me like it just sticks on there. tips would be greatly appreciated. ive looked at the door handles and i see that there is one bolt on the back of it the sorta clamps it to the door. im able to get it loose but im wondering how i unhook the linkage. i didnt wanna mess with it too much before i knew wat i was doing so i wouldnt f something up. i appreciate any help u can give me. in the end i plan to make a how-to that includes removal and installation of all the parts ill be taking of. thanks for the help.

IIRC, the Haynes or Chiltons manual you can find at most auto-parts stores should have sections on removal of trim.

The trim is just stick on. You have to be really careful when taking it off because it will warp sometimes.

As for the bumpers its rather easy. Find every screw and take them out. lol
