I am looking for an alarm on ebay and came across this alpine alarm:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=018&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=280084639249&rd=1&rd=1

I did some research and I cannot find any information on this alarm anywhere. Does anyone know anything about alpine alarms ??:???:

or can anymore point out some other good alarms on ebay for under $100 ??

I recently got my whole audio system installed as well as subs and I just want to do as much as I can to prevent theft.
thanks in advance !

Stick to DEI. That means Viper, Python, Clifford, and a couple others. Look to spend at least $400 installed for something worth having. If you can't afford that, wait until you can, and do not "advertise" your system during that time.

When I was researching alarms a few years ago, I ruled Alpine out right away for one simple reason - they are very persistent in their "only authorized Alpine shops" rule. Just about every other alarm company (DEI, Audiovox/Prestige, Bulldog, etc) will let you download both installation and owners manuals. Alpine documentation for simple programming only says "call your authorized Alpine installer."
