So i live in Northern Canada 9 months of winter horibble roads etc... I know my tires need to be replaced, i just had a lowering kit put on , but i know thats not the problem but lately it feels like my car is set up for drifting.

I feel like im all over the road sometimes and like my cars steering is extremly weak, i used to be able to feel all the tires on the road and feel it gripping, now i dont feel anything and i slide every where sometimes.

i have a 2001 GA SE 2.4l 4 door... So im wondering if wore out tired maybe the issue here, i had the rack replaced last year and i know its not that because it doesnt feel like how it did when the rack went, and they told me that everything else was ok except for the tires are going to need to be replaced soon.

I am going to replace them and get them to check out everything real quick.

Anyone else have this problem or think it could be somthing else.

Thanks
Alex

So you were told over a year ago that you needed the tires replaced and you waited this long??

Chances are its the tires being horrible.

Lol...I dont think they would of lasted that long, No this was a month ago... when i had the suspension put on.

BUt im between bying new tires here or buying the rims i wanted, but see i would rather put winter tires on these rims and summer tires on my new rims... but im not sure if i even want to put rims on my car anymore so... im more just wondering about the handling if the tires would make it feel like im drifiting and have no control over the car.

Yea they will especially if the rears are worn.

A lot of people up north have summer and winter tires and rim sets. Id consider putting up the money for them too.

I lowered a grand am said enough, Well Dick i hope your last name isnt Ass.

I asked about the handling on my car not your opinion about my car.

The tires are changed and there is a big improvement, the alignment was out ONLY BECAUSE THE ROADS HERE ARE HORRIBLE.

But thanks ...

I hope the carma gods get you, for making a stupid commit like that...

Cheers

I shall live in fear of the "carma gods" for the rest of my life, now.

All while my car doesn't eat suspension components because I didn't lower a Grand Am.

What does lowering a grand am have anythign to do with eating suspension, if you know how to do the job right you dont have problems now do you...
