I am looking for a good security system but nothing too expensive ( I don't need the remote start option)
I have a club on my steering wheel and a large knife under the seat... but thats not really protecting my subs and 2 amps in my trunk.

What I'm looking for and having trouble finding is an alarm that goes off if somone opens my trunk .. doors ..dome light supervision and shock.

My budget on the alarm itself is around $100-150 and another $100-150 to get it installed. Can someone suggest a good alarm ? Does anyone know if best buy will install an alarm if I buy it from ebay ??

thanks in advance for the help guys !!

Skip ebay and worstbuy and go to a real shop if you are not doing it yourself

You won't get any warranty if you don't get the alarm and installation from an authorized shop. Stick to DEI (Viper/Python/Clifford/Hornet/etc) and just go with one of the lower ones. Like a Python 502 maybe? Call up some shops in the area and get prices. Pyhon (and the other DEI brands) have a shop locator on their site.

I got a viper 791xv for 180 and I also got it installed for 150. I know you said you weren't looking for remote start or anything but this has it all! That is a pretty good deal too because I was looking at close to 700 for the system and install at a local shop.

As jesse said, it comes with remote start.
If you already have it, you should replace it with an all in one
If you don't have it, you do not know what you are missing.
I heard it gets cold up there and having your car defrosting before you get there is so nice. I even use mine in nice weather just so the car has a minute to warm up.

Not only does it have remote start but you can add many different things to it. Like for example you can turn on your rear defroster from the remote as well as control your windows and even the sunroof if you have the right stuff! I guess what I am trying to say is the 791xv was well worth the money for me!

Someone is selling an alarm. You should check it out.

No you shouldn't, unless you don't mind not having a warranty and paying more for install. Buy the alarm from a shop and have them install it. Period.
