Hey there everyone
I wasn't sure where to post this one, so I decided on the appearence forum, cause this is sort of an appearence question.
Soon I'll be modifying my car, a 95 GA SE, and one of the things I'll be modefying is the wheels and tires, aswell as the suspension, which got me thinking that with it, I should probably upgrade the seats to something with a bit more bolstering.
I didn't want to go with the super expensive Recaro sport seats style, but something that still had good padding, but decent holding.
Finally, I settled on the front cloth seats of the 2005 Grand Prix. They were quite comfortable, and the torse bolsters were far superior to what my stock seats have.
I was wondering if it would be possible to modify the frame and slider of the GP seats to fit the mounting locations of my current seats.
I know this is a totally off-the-wall question, but any suggestions, tips and ideas would greatly appreciated in helping me when I do start modifying my car.
Thanxs for your time, and again, any and all tips, suggestions and ideas are welcome.

Chris

I wouldnt mod the tracks of the GP seats to fit the car. I'd mod the bottom of the seat to fit your original tracks. Its what I did to get my seats in.

Okay. So you mean narrowing the frame width wise incase it's to wide for the mounting locations, but leaving the track and slider alone?

i would try to keep your stock monts and sliders. take the tracks off the GP seats and if need-be make brackets to fit yout stock tract to the GP seat. this way no new modding or hacking to make different tracks fit your car. hope that made scense

Okay, so keep my stock seat frame with the slider, and mounting but just modify the bottom of the GP seat to fit the Grand Am seat frame?

First mount the new seats with their track int the car and see if it fits. Probally not, then turn over the seats and see how the seat to track compare.
