Well... since we have a whole section devoted to this type of stuff now, I feel obliged to finally post my problem :D
I have a small hole, about as big as a pencil, in my front bumper right above the license plate... Anyone know how I can patch it up somehow? I saw some fiberglass putty stuff today at the local car parts store, but I don't know how well that would work, or what this bumper is made out of for that matter.
Here's a pic, and thanks a lot!

fill it with Bondo and get a color matching scratch remover to cover it

fiber glass resine is the craps to work with but sadly its the best to use on plastic bumpers. you can try to get away with putty but it might not last long and is not flexable. the first bump or some 1 leans on that spot, the putty might crack or crumble. after you fill the hole and sand it down get plastic primer, spray bomb single stage paint and clear. tape , prime, then you have to try to almost blend in the old pain and new( hard to do most proff have a bad time doing it because of paint oxidizeation and other stuff) but give it a go, worst thing is you will have to repaint the hole bumper. then clear it about 1/2 hour later or depeding on what the paint takes to flash

Use Kent Chemweld ep, it's a 2 part epoxy designed for softer plastics. It was made w/ bumper covers in mind. I've been useing it for 3 years now & have never had a repair failure w/ it. It comes in a double tube & applies much liike plastic filler. Then use a urethane primer & paint. I say urethane because it is also flexible. & by the way,.. who would wanna use anything different? laquers & enamels are a thing of the past. Also, if you're gonna use a real spray gun, get some blending clear. It's wonderfull for blending spot jobs, many times you don't even have to buff out the blend when you use it!

I got a question relating to this subject. Over the winter, I got a little stupid and was pretending I was the world rally champion and slid into a street sign. The front bumper is all that got damaged, and it has a nice smooth split in the lower area near the fog light. If it's pressed together, it doesn't look to bad. What can I use to hold it together and can I even get anything in there to apply it?

You'll have to take the bumper cover off & repair it from the backside w/ Kent ep or another companies equivelent. I use fiberglass cloth under the Kent to give it extra reinforcement. If you want it to look like new again all you'd have to do from there is "v groove" the crack on the front side after the repair on the backside dries Then fill the v groove w/ kent & sand it smooth after it cures. From there use plastic primer then block that out, prep it & paint it.
