Hi, I was searching around the site looking for better acceleration in my 02 GAGT. I have a CAI already and wanted to look into an underdrive pulley. I saw that FFP made one for the 3.4 but i cant find it anywere. Anyone know were i could purchase one?? or if not FFp than is there any other pulleys out there for the GA???
thanks in advance.

Keep an eye on the for sale forums and ebay. I bought one from a member here and love it.

You're not going to gain crap from a UDP. If you want speed, start getting into real mods - ported intake manifolds and heads, cam, tune... etc.
P.S. if you have/plan to have subwoofers or just a loud audio system in general, don't consider a UDP even if you think it is otherwise worth the miniscule gain. (which it isn't)

How would you know an udp wouldnt help? Have you tried it? I know it was one of my first mods I did, and I honestly will say its one of the best bang for buck 3400 mods.
And not everyone can afford heads and manifolds and such. Or maybe he just wants a streetable car thats a little more fun to drive and doesnt want to build up a motor.
You gotta back up your info. Hell my 99 gt ran 14's with stock heads/cam.

yeaa i mean i alreadyy bought my flowmaster 80 and im getting custom 2.5 in. piping ran so my exhaust should be done in a couple of weeks and now im a little short on money so i want my next mod to be farily inexpensive....so from wutt i understand i need to get a udp from someone who previously owned it they dont manufacture it anymore????

You would have to contact FFP, Im not sure whats going on with their pullies. Good luck findind someone selling one though, I sold mine cause I parted my car out and that was one of the first ones Ive seen being sold for a while.
Either milzy or the 60*v6 store is designing ud pullies that somehow doesnt require using the 24x ring, cant remember who it was though.

First off, get your damn facts straight man...An UDP gives you some acceleration which you CAN feel and it's relatively cheap
Second, I don't have any problems with my electrical system because of my UDP and I'm running 2 12's + defrost/fan + 55w fogs

It is a fact that a UDP is going to make your alternator spin slower. Period. I'm not going to sit here and calculate whether it will matter for him. If you've got a system that's pushing your stock charging system to the limits, a UDP is a bad idea. That's all I'm saying.
And yeah, I'm sure the UDP was really noticible. Like running higher octane gas, right?

I agree with you that a better alt or a better battery would be a good idea but my stock alt and my 7 year old interstate battery is just doing fine with my UDP.
It is noticable and if you ask most people who have them they would agree. Higher octane gas does nothing for you. Unless you are tuned for it it's a waste of $$$. So no, not like higher octane gas :roll2:

yea ok,ask anyone here that HAS a UDP setup, even both, crank and alternator. Most will say they noticed a difference in ACCELERTATION, we're not talking hp or torque gains.

plan to get both pulleys, heard from enough people that it helps
