GM never made any 2.6L. If you have a 2002, it's either 2.2L or 3.4L.

he has a "Grant Am GT"

so if its a gt (grand am) it would be a 3.4 ahwell.

I'm sorry but if you don't know what is under the hood then leave the tools in the tool box and drive it to and from the store as is. Even my wife could tell you what motors came in a GA.

There's a stroker kit for the 2.4's, that may be what he means by 2.6, or maybe a misprint
