hey, i got an rsm intake awhile ago for my 2.4l from rsm. i think they sent me the one for the 99-01 model instead of the 96-98 model because the egr thing is blocked off. would that be a big problem if the egr wasn't pluged in or would i have to mod it to make it fit in? if so what would i need to do to it?

Youll get an ses light without it plugged
Or you could sell it to me if you want ;)

just go with the HO swap, your going with boost. Piss on that POS manifold. The only thing thats done to it is the area where the TB bolts is inlarged slightly.

if i go with the HO swap ill have to get some new charge piping, and around here there is no place to get custom bent piping.

Let me see some pictures of your charge pipe setup. im sure you could just go get some prebent pipe from summit (all charge pipping is, is exhaut pipe for the most part)
Plus it will be worth the exta hp.

my charge piping is BobGAGT's setup, and i have a cai that would be useless if i go to a HO intake

x2. With all the other work you'll have, it will be easy to cut a few pieces and run the piping to the HO manifold. That task is much much easier than making piping that goes around the battery to a CAI, or Intercooler, etc.

Yea its gona take a while but in about a year I should be boosted. I just got the car the other day but already have an intake, 58mm tb, pacesetter catback, and secret cams to put in. Cams wont be in for a while though, and Im about to motor mounts. And I have no job! haha
Im actually talking to a guy about a 2.3 lo intake mani right now for realy cheap, but Ill think about the rsm. thanks
