Performance Questions???

I bought my 2001 GA GT about 2 years ago and all Ive done to it performance wise is the K&N drop in filter.......so as you can see as the owner of two cars at over 500hp I would love to have my Grand Am GT up a bit more in the horsepower/torque range. I know what items I want on my car its just being I have no time to research the best performance parts at the best prices..........Soooo to sum it up, I need the places/websites with the best performance parts/prices for my 2001 3.4 liter Grand Am GT.

parts im looking for include

-Cam
-Nitrous
-Blower
-Exhaust.....from the heads back!
-Pulleys
-Chip/Programer

If you don't have time to do a few minutes of research using the search button, how are you going to have enough time to put all those things in? There are lots of threads on here that have your answers, and a stickied thread that lists places that these items can be bought at.

um maybe ill have time since I do work as an auto mechanic, and can bring it to work with me......I just dont have time to sit at a computer all night like you and dream about my cars......Im all for this forum but ppl like you suck and shouldnt be on these forums to be annoying. 2 cars at over 500 hp? my buddy has a truck thats been souped up to hell, and its not making 500 hp so i want to see pictures/proof ya did something to them to get over 500hp

why not just keep the grand am as a daily driver and have the cobra for the fun car? face it... grand ams dont have the cheapest most mass produced aftermarket parts out there...

Take it easy there bud. You need to understand that you & about 200 other people in the past year come in here with the very same question. An easy search will yield your answers. people grow tired of doing the same work, looking up & listing things over & over again to answer that dead horse question.

As per your "dreaming" comment; most of us can agree it's the guys who come in here asking the same old tiring question of what can I get for my G.A. to make it go faster/ I'm king of the streets are usually the ones dreaming.
I too would like to see a few good, detailed pics of these 500hp beasts you own. Better yet, how about drag slips &/or dyno sheets?

lol.....soo the second someone mentions they have fast cars, they have to prove it now a days?? I have nothing to prove to any one on this site nor any other site.... And why cant I have fun with my GA too??? So I have a cobra, I have fun with it but as a V8 guy, Ive always wanted to have a faster V6 GA, and there isnt anything wrong with it. I guess I have to now go fish up some pics of my cars and prove to the GA owners what other cars I have since that has soooo much to do with how I want some suggestion for my GA.

what do u mean help myself...... read my thread and where in the heck does anyone see that I want anything more then a little help from those who have had more time getting to know a car (the GA) that I havnt had time for.........I looked through the sticky's and I actually didnt find it any help at all.......Ive seen on othere car forums that there are company's that look out for that car's aftermarket parts, I just havnt had luck with the GA......And basicly I dont get it.....I mean I am basicly the anti V6 but I love the GA and I like im sure the thousands on this site want more out of it......but I didnt find the stickys of any help. So thats why I made my thread so that maybe someone out there would be like well yeah our sticky's suck and dont really guide anyone so I will pass my knowledge on. I think car's popularity in the aftermarket is made by the want of aftermarket of its owners...... And every other god knows what V^ out there has aftermarket out its butt and WE dont, and I think someone here has to be sooo flippin devoted that there has to be some knowledge other than stay away from anything cheap on EbAy for our cars becuz I for one know how dumb an electric supercharger is and a resinator, Christ I asked a question for some leads that I havnt found on this site and then it blows up into about the other cars I own, so what is that.....thats not staying on topic and lending guidence for other GA owners.....So yeah maybe I do need to "chill" but yet why doesnt anyone say that to the first a hole to make a rude meaningless comment to someone looking for guidence. If someone can answer that for me then plaese do. But beyond that here we go again, a thread that blows up about absolutly nothing because I stood up for myself and my thread.

Ok, so the stickies may not be the best, but just search man! Help yourself, use the search function.

Except for 2 items (cam/blower) all others have been covered to great extent in these forums. By the way, no blower is available that I know of. There are superchargers that can be had though, and not electrical by the way.
If you were to take the advice given then this would not be blown up. Joining today and putting a thread out like this ( I want a 500HP beast that will blow the doors off anything) by 6:28 screams one of 2 things, more money than brains, or one lazy person.

Your response or lack there of will indicate the type you are.

Are these vehicle yours? A 22 year old mechanic doesnt make quite that much....Even you went to school for it, and started out making some decent cash....I know theres no way your student loans and whatnot are paid. If Im wrong, sorry, but you do have a bit of an attitude for being so new around here. The most you could have been here is 9 days so far. We don't know who you are, or anything about you.....

enough of that though....

If you can soup a car up over 500 horsepower, you would not be asking us exhuast or nitrous questions.

Yes, Brandons' right,as stated dozens of times or more on this site- the transmission will be brought to it's knee's when you near 100 extra hp. You'll have to sink a good $2,500 or more into the trans. to start.
As a side note; there are no chips available for the G.A. as there is no chip. (Why you asked, I have no idea, as a mechanic you should know that. That is why I questioned some of your original statement right there alone) You can, however, send the pcm out to me custom flashed or buy a DHP unit.

Yep, the "chips" that you usually find for Grand Am applications are just resistors, worthless really.

he posted it because he has no idea how the GA runs...or GM for that matter. Only ford would still even have a half @$$ed idea to make chips available for some vehicles, and u can tell from the entire post and vehicles that he is of the "old blood" where you go big cam, big gears, and BLOWER and itll get you 10s...umm no, next question will be "Does that thing got a HEMI"?

yah it is getting out of control, and im helping it along i guess, but it wouldnt have started if he had looked at the search button first, and alot of the noob posts and stickys and everything else that yells out, read me first and u might avoid the senseless arguements and burns...and 500HP??? ford barely makes that on their mega supercar GT, let alone an s/c 5.4 or a 5.0/5.8

i could add more, but i think ill be nice and add this. alot of what you are looking for can be found at www.60degreev6.com/store there you can look at cams, and the grinds can be found on the corresponding website...also any "blower" gor this car is not going to garner as much power as a custom turbo...as for the chip...baked or wavy lays?
