Well being this is my first head job and im abou 98% certain that is what im about to do. But this is the first head removal on the car and second time for the LIM so I got that far. As for the exhaust manifold removal I just have to hope all the bolts will be able to come out and dont break off. All I ask for is tips for the job,
I do plan to get the head tested and planed but other than that what else.
BTW my dad will be helping and hes built many engines from bottom up but any tips would be great thanks

Well an update on the replacement of the head gasket. At first we werent sure if it was the gasket but it was.. decided to do both head gaskets..
anyways as a small tip for anyone as dumb as me.. when installing the rear head and when leaving the exhaust manifold attached to the head for removal... make sure when you install it that the catalylic converter downpipe matches up with the exhaust manifold... i couldnt see for sure since i had a wodden block holding the weight of the engine when i had to remove the upper engine mount.
Had the whole engine ready and went to tighten the exhaust back up.. bam .. the one stud breaks...
Needless to say i had to drill out the old stud and use a new bolt for it.. huge hass of a job.. but either way the car runs great and im back in business.
