Ok so now that I have all the parts for my 5-speed swap I need to decide on a clutch. I have heard bad things about centerforce I was wondering what other performance clutch are available. I believe the transmission is getrag M86 and I want a stage 1 or higher.

x2 on the anti-Centerforce... been hearing mixed results with those from the late 90's on.
I'm using a Spec Stage 3, which is a 6-puck and sprung. It has rather aggressive engagement, but is still considered a "street/strip" clutch. Very happy with it so far.
Keep in mind that different manufacturers designate the "stage" number system differently... stage 3 may be a street clutch for one and a race-only clutch for another. Look at the clutch type (complete disc, 6 puck, 4 puck, etc) if it is sprung or not, and it's torque rating... not just an arbitrary "stage" number. Stage 1 is simply an OEM replacement for most though, not really an upgrade. Don't go nuts either... especially if it's going to be your daily transportation.

not my daily drive i have a POS subaru for that. The only two I have been able to find so far is the Exedy and the Centerforce without alot of info on them. Does spec make one for my year?

Yea I think I have decided on the Spec Stage 3 clutch kit. I found it for 340 shipped just making sure no one knows a better site then. http://www.lmperformance.com/13188/72.html

Got talked out of the 6 puck for the time being figured ill get used to the car with a solid disk before I move up to that. Stage 2 will support plenty more torque them my car can give out. Clutch ordered on the home stretch with tranny swap just mounts now and they cost barely anything compared to the other stuff lol
