Are your drls turned off by the park brake? If so you may have to find how and tap into that.

no . the drl's are still on when the parking brake is applied.

Some info I found says this will work for 99 grand am.
Will it work for 93 as well ?

It says to remove the sensor and run a jumper wire between the connections.

Do you have automatic headlights?
At night do the drls come on until you turn the headlights on?

I'm really over my head, I haven't disable mine and we are very different years anyway.

no. When I start the car, no lights come on until
you put the car in to drive. But I do have auto head lights.
At night it doesint mater if you turn on the head light switch or not. As soon as you put the car in to gear, the head lights come on .

Well if at night the DRLS don't come on then that should work. I'm a bit surprised that they don't come on though. It's an odd design. I had a 97 and it's DRLs cut off with the park brake. It's also odd that in 93 the park brake wasn't hooked up to it. Now in 2003 the park brake deactivates them if the brake is on when the car is started and only while it's in park. These cars are getting way to complicated.

edit- that may be the sensor that turns your headlights on also, you may b trading DRLs for full headlights. You'll have to test it and see.

I dont no about the DRL's on ours. Its probably closest related to the 96-98 wiring though. You should try using that as a starting point. Dam glad my car didnt come from canada.
