hey im seriously thinking about purchasing the mms stage 2 setup...how is this setup and what are your thought/feelings on it...also will my tranny be able to handlle this...ive heard that the ported 3500 LIM matched with a ported 3400 UIM is prolly the best combo, but which heads and cams would work best with that setup...and also on 60*v6 the setup they are selling, does that come with heads and everything or just the P&P IM's...any/all help is greatly appreciated as this is a lot of money im considering dropping...thnks

You can only use the 3500 lim with 3500 heads, and yea Im pretty sure thats a full 350o heads/manifolds setup from the 60*v6 store.

I would go with the 3500 setup over ported 3400 stuff

The only thing I MMS has that I would get is the cam.

Stock 3500 heads outflow even ported 3400 heads. Obviously, the 3500 lower intake must be used....Ive heard however that a ported 3400 plenum is the best to use though.

If you are actually going to do this, it would be well worth the extra $$ to put on a larger throttle body and headers. Both of these are quite beneficial to your engine especially with all those high flowing 3500 parts.....

my $0.02

well of course those would be added, i was juss talkin bout the actual engine...so the setup that will probably yield the best gains are the ported 3500 LIM and heads along with the prted 3400 upper and the stage 2 cams from milzy

The stage 2 Setup will have minimal gains without headers.

There's a guy locally that got the Stage 2 setup done and he was running high 14's with it and a 2.5" Downpipe and Catback. I think since he's goten into the Mid 14's but still...it should be faster.

i too was thinking of getting this setup and skipping the FI for awhile. granted, this setup is designed with low boost in mind, but i want to stay NA as long as possible. i just may get this after i get headers on the car.

well which way would yield the best gains NA as that is not in my plans for a while...should i get the complete stage 2 or the stage 2 cams along with the 3500 P&P LIM and 3400 P&P UIM....either way ill have headers and a larger tb

Id say the 3500 top end swap, they are making more and more power on stock cars with the 3500 than I thought originally possible.

so you're saying juss go with the complete 3500 topend even though the UIM of the 3400 outflows it...

The point of having a ported 3400 UIM is you don't have to modify your fuel rail or get a new throttle body (a bigger one is recommended). If you use a 3500 UIM you need to make a modification to the fuel rail and get a throttle body adapter to use your throttle body. The 3500 TB is wire fed, you push on the pedal and the signal is sent down a wire to a actuator that opens the throttle body, unlike yours that is cable activated.

is one way better that the other...

The 3400 way is easier and you'll most liekly have a better chance finding 3400 Intakes/heads in more places and for less $$.

As mentioned before...the 3500 heads flow stock, what a 3400 flows with a good Port & Polish.

Also...as mentioned, the 3400 intakes won't need any modification.

So it's a toss up.

well wat i meant was 1. the 3500 stuff along with the P&P 3400 UIM with mms stage 2 cams 2. the Complete 3500 topend or
3. The complete mms stage 2 package...which would yield the most gains and which can be completed with the least amount of mod...

you can go alot better than the MMS stage 2 cam with a custom cam from the 60* store. if you look on the site it will show u the cam grinds available, and they are only $300 instead of over 4...and u have enough money to get the custom pushrods then, because you will need them with a different cam...period

so overall this is lookin like the best way to go??? the 3500 stuff with the P&P 3400 UIM and custom grind cams and pushrods...wat is the best grind for the cams...

there is no best cam, it really does depend on what you want and what you have and what u are looking for
