Ok I am pretty new here and I have been searching around and I cant find any threads that tell me what I need to know. I have an '04 Grand Am and I just bought the 7 color OPTX LED underglow kit(onsale for $100 at Meijers:D).

Anyways I know where I am going to mount the side lights but the front and rear I cant decide where to mount them. The front tube I am thinking about mounting to these two screws that are on the front of the radiator. The back I have no idea where to mount the tube. I have a stock exhaust for right now but I plan on getting a catback exhaust sometime. I just need a place to mount the back tube where the heat wont bother it. any help would be great and if possible pictures would help.

thanks!!!

The back i put on the metal bumper reinforcement. If you want i can try and get a picture. The front, depending on what they gave you to mount with, i just screwed into the black plastic piece for my front one.

I use zip ties, the mounts crack after a while. On the side I drilled 3 holes in the metal for the zip ties. When I put my new kit on in a couple weeks, I will post pics if you would like to see how I did it.

Yea.. I'm not too keen on the LED ones.. And the wires are not long enough... They're not like neons.. you just can't add more wire

here's a few pics... I mount the back tube on the trunk as anything further back gets too close to the muffler / bumper area, and you end up seeing the tube, and seeing the tube looks like amatuer night

With an LED kit you want them pointed as horizontal as you possibly can... correctly installed they should look something like this:

for mine i ended up trimming the air dam just a bit as well

I meant, the ones I had had little plug type ends.. And the kit didn't give anymore to make extensions.. It wasn't like you could just grab some wire and make it longer

Yes, you can.

Yeah you can just cut the wire put in your extension in there, just try to find some wire about the same size and you will be fine. If your thinking the extra lenght will change your resistence its not going to be enough to effect anything at all.

I use computer cold cathode tubes, very bright and last a good long while.

Well, I didn't, but I mounted them under there in parallel rows to see how it looked. It did in fact look nice but it would be expensive in the long run.

Not if you get them in bulk from ebay.
