Ok so i was on my way back here tonight and had already been driving for like 45 min. Well i come up to a stoplight and hit the brakes and this happened...

radio cut for a second, dash lights cut for a second, gauges all went up a little bit, speedometer needle was swaying back and forth for a few seconds, and the abs light came on. I tried it a few more times and pretty much the exact same thing happened every time i tapped the brakes except that the radio didn't cut out anymore.

It stopped doing this after like a minute after the first time, and the abs light stayed on the whole way home.

Any ideas? It was weird.

Stop by a place and have the Alt- tested, well the whole charging system. When the battery terminals get dirty or the alt- starts dying GA seem to show those symptoms.

There is a number of car parts palces that will check it for free.

Well the alternator was just replaced about a year and a half ago. But i'll get it checked out.

I owned my GA about 3 years, went through 2 alts. If you can find a place to do it for free....I think it's worth checking.

Also I only had stock sound system in it. So I was not drawing or wearing out the alts.

Lights on, radio on, heater cranking, brakes lights on at idle.

I see baking soda and wire brushes in your future
