1999 grand am SE body style

its a 4 door.

my sisters got a 4 door GT (1999) with hood scoops custom spoiler, side skirts, you know.

would it look idiotic to modify the stock body of a 4 door SE?

Check out the "Members Rides" section. There's plenty of SE's that have been upgraded with GT parts.

Take your time, look around, ask questions and think before you buy anything. Some things sound better than they actually look on the GA.

A number of people have modified SE's to have GT cladding. Hell, you could have an SCT with SE body cladding if you really wished. (I've seen a few SE's that do have the SC/T spoiler and hood with the stock SE cladding).

The GT body and the SE body are the same so anything you can do to a GT, you can do to a SE. But your results may vary if you don't do all the changes, such as only adding a front kit on a se cladding and rear.

I've never been a fan of the GT conversion. I say go custom. Get the RKsport hood and a whale tail spoiler
