I'm trying to find a sc/t style hood for my 05 SE. everywhere i look they only have hoods up to 04. are the gt and se hoods interchangeble? can someone point me in the right direction?

Yes, all hoods from 99+ are the same ... SE or GT :)

Any 5th Generation era hood will work. Unlike the 4th gen, there were no significant changes to the hood for the 5th (The 4th gen hoods from a 1992-1995 will not fit on a 1996-1998; and vice versa)

Also remember that you have to pay for painting and/or the paint itself. You could try eBay or check the For Sale section of this site.

no luck at the junk yard, or ebay. I looked at some GM parts sites they are going for $800 and up, but they are OEM and bolt to the factory hinges, dont know if they are painted. a lot of $$. guess you got to pay to play

All of them should bolt to the factory hinges. If they come from GM they are not painted, just primered. As far as I know there are no fitment issues with the RK hood, aftermarket SC/T hood, or the SD hood.

sweet, i'll hold out for a couple weeks to see if one turns up for a steal, after that i am getting one regardless, thanx everyone
