Connecticut Show And Shine weekend + Pontiac Show

Sorry for the repost though i wanted to make sure that members aw this thread first.

May 19-20. our show will be held on the 19th at Silver Sands State Park in Stratford, CT. i will have 3-4 awards for this years show. AS FOR THE 20TH, THE NUTMEG CHAPTER POCI IS HOLDING THERE 23RD ANNUAL PONTIAC SHOW. ANYONE WHO IS ATTENDING OUR SHOW MAY WANNA STAY FOR THIS ONE. this show is about a 1/2 hour away from the hotel.

everyone is welcomed to come down on the 18th if they want. hotel info will be posted shortly, though im thinking of doing the sprign hill suites which is down the street from the hotel. if anyone has any other questions please feel free to PM me.

this hotel is literally off the highway, though it is hiding. if you are heading north on I-95. at the end of the ramp (EXIT 35) take a left and go under the brdige. the road is on the left a few feet beyond the I-95 South enterance. drive around the Red Roof Inn and the hotel is in the back.

If your coming from I-95 South. take exit (EXIT 35). at the end of the ramp, take a right and immediately turn left onto Rowe Ave.

having trouble with the employee rate I'll have to make some calls there could be an online glitch since it doesn't even seem to be accepting it during their dead times. I have not heard of a marriott not accepting rates yet ill keep you updated.

K everyone who is planning on attending the ECM meet this year. John "onilink67" has reserved a room for both friday night and saturday night at the RED ROOF INN in milford, ct I-95 at Bic Drive, Exit #35. we need to know who will be attending.

what im seeing is that saturday will be a mod day and or a preperation for the other show on sunday. we will go down to the beach and possibly have awards. I need to speak with a couple members regarding this. THOUGH PLEASE START MENTIONING IF YOUR PLANNING ON ATTENDING THIS WEEKEND MEET SO WE KNOW ABOUT THE ROOM SITUATIONS.

I also have a reservation at springhills im going to be watching to grab the sat night but im not holding my breath im getting the room at about half price and i think it would be great the way we spend our nights. All else fails I cancel one of the friday reservations as it gets closer

As for the CT Show this year, it will just be a mod/preparation day for the following P.O.C.I. show on Sunday May 20th. The Plan is to meet up at my house on Saturday morning may 19th, so that we can prepare the cars for the show the following day. Any other mods that would like to be worked on during that day will also be done. Those who have reservations at the hotel will crash at the hotel on Saturday night and the rest will meet up with them Sunday morning before heading out as a group to the show.

Man, I'd love to come, but things just are lucky enough to fall the wrong way. Saturday's my college graduation and that night I'm partying (heh). Then Sunday, if I'm not dead from my mass consumption of um... "soda" I have a road rally I'm supposed to be doing with friends. I could come down for the P.O.C.I. Show on Sunday though, I'll have to talk with my friends to see what's up. I'd love to meet some of you guys finally.

See, here's the thing. I'm going to be getting hammered Saturday night, there's no doubt about that. I'm looking at how far out Trumbull is from where I am and it's a solid 3 to 4 hour drive. I'm really thinking that might be a bit too much to put on someone with a hangover. Sorry guys.

Maybe we can get a crew together to go to Epping sometime? Or maybe just another car show in MA? I do want to get together with you guys sometime, I just have bad timing that's all. I'm hopefully getting a new job soon that will allow me to have weekends off, which will really come in handy.

As it stands now they are calling for a 30% chance of rain this weekend. I wont know about the show till the morning of and or late Saturday night. So we are going forward as planned though please understand that we have no control over the weather. People can start showing up around 10ish on Saturday. We will work and then we will grab a bite to eat somewhere in town and for those who are staying at the hotel, we will get you guys checked in. John “onilink67” is the one who is heading up the responsibility for the hotel room. “thanks john.” So for those who are crashing at the hotel, please notify him so that he can distribute the cost evenly. Again if anyone has any questions please PM me and I will give you my cell number and we can discuss any of the info over the phone.

There are 16 classes though we will either be in: class F “1977 – present pontiacs”, class N “semi modified” or class O “modified”

So i just broke a 2 month old strut mount. I had a professional take a look at it and he said not to wait a while to replace it obviously but its not going to be dangerous to drive on. Should I risk the trip or just transfer the hotel to someone else?
