Right now I have 3 spoke wheels on my 97 GAGT and i want to switch them with these other pontiac rims. I have a link to the ones I want, and the post below is of my currect wheels. What i want to know is if these can just switch out with no problem. the new ones would be 16 x 6.5 and the old ones are 16 x 6. The current tires i have on my car now are 205 55 R16. I want to use these tires also as they are bbrand new, cost 400 dollars don't just want to throw away. can i just switch them, keep the tires, and will my speedo read the same. Thanks

Well from the pic here, it looks like the rims you want to get are for 99-03 GAs... and as you can find out yourself in the FAQ section, the bolt pattern changes from 98 to 99, so these wheels won't fit...

You would have to change the front and rear hubs, which will not swap into your car without fabrication. For the purpose of rims, it's simply not worth it. I'd look into aftermarket rims that will fit your car as it is now, you'll be much happier in the end.

i know that gm made another type of stock rim that came with your body style ga. if u dont want to spend the money on aftermarket maybe u can find someone who has the other rim. hey check out the old ga's of the week and look for feb 24 2003, its a 95 gt with the rims im talking about. hope i helped

I agree with Shawn. Finding aftermarket rims that fit would be your best bet for a change, and probably look better anyway. A 7 inch wide rim would be good for your tires, centering the bead of the tire on the rim better and improving cornering ability somewhat.

I found a site that carries stock Pontiac wheels, at a reduced price than dealer, but they are still expensive. Check them out at http://www.wheels-and-rims.com/pontiac-wheels.html

Even their discounted prices are high. For that kinda dough I would certainly look at aftermarket.

As for 95 and older GT wheels like this:

you can get them used easily and pretty cheaply.
