hey, i have a 93 grand am se sohc with a 3 speed auto with a blown head gasket. i wanna put a HO crate engine in, would the 3 speed be able to hold the HO power? thanks

a 3 speed will hold it ... but with a 3 speed you will never get the full potental of that engine. Better to go with a L.O 3 speed auto or a H.O with a 5 speed

where are you getting a crate engine from? I have to replace my '93 SOHC Quad too. Thanks.

You can get rebuilt engines from rebuilders. You can still get an engine from GM also. Big $$$, but warranted. Another place you can get engines is www.matapart.com - I've got a W41 on order from them.
