Hey guys,

My spring break started today and all next week I'm planning on getting to know my car a lot more and I have thought about getting new headlight assemblies among things.

I have found these on ebay and I'm wondering how hard it is to install new assemblies?

Quite easy....If you can change the bulbs you can change the assembly

yeah its just like two clips on each light, should only take a few minuets.

Well I still haven't ordered them yet, I'm a little hesitant on the quality. My main question is if the black on these ones (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/96-97-98-PONTIAC-GRAND-AM-EURO-DIAMOND-HEADLIGHT-BLACK_W0QQitemZ290099536181QQcategoryZ33710QQssPag eNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) (the ones that I'm planning on getting) is the same as the black on these ones (http://www.xtralights.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1150). I realize that it may be hard to tell, just don't want to buy them and have the black be really flat are hard to notice.

I notice how they look the same in black in the picture but I'm looking for someone that may have one or both of them to tell me if they will look like I want them. If you understand what I'm trying to say I'll give someone a cookie because I think I may have just confused myself, haha.:lol:

well first off, one of those sets is for a 99+ ga. they dont look the same, the 99+ headlights look flat and textured while the 96-98 ones look satin and smooth.

its hard to tell, but i say go for it. i didnt even realize that they made headlights for that gen, im impressed.

Yeah I know its for 99+ I was using it to compare the blacks. But I think I'll try and buy them today, thanks Dave. :)

If anyone else has any input please post.
