Not sure where to post it so figured the atlantics would be the best. Anyhow I was looking the New-Brunswick Motor Vehicle Act and stumbled on this little timbit.

223(3) Any motor vehicle may be equipped with not more than two back-up lamps either separately or in combination with other lamps, but any such back-up lamp shall not be lighted when the motor vehicle is in forward motion.

1955, c.13, s.202.

According to this GA's have 2 extra backup "lamps" that it shouldn't have. But then again doubt GM would change its model for 1 province.

haha Interesting. But then again, I believe that original equipment supersedes the local legislation.

It's actually the Motor Vehicle Safety Act (http://laws.justice.gc.ca/en/showtdm/cs/M-10.01///en)/Motor Vehicle Safety Regulations (http://laws.justice.gc.ca/en/showtdm/cr/C.R.C.-c.1038//?showtoc=&instrumentnumber=C.R.C.-c.1038) that supersede any local laws that predate it (like this one, which was written in 1955) on the requirements for vehicles to be sold/imported into Canada.

Most provinces have repealed their laws that conflicted with it but NB may not have.
