I have a 1997 SE (2.4, obviously), anyway, it saw some pretty rough days before I got it, and the engine has nearly 120,000 miles on it. I was wondering if it was possible to replace it with a V6. I know it'll be hell to replace if it IS possible. Does anyone think it would be worthwhile for the added horsepower, or should I just shop for a new 2.4?

new 2.4,not worth all the hassle of new wiring harness, new gauges,etc....

The 2.4 motor is just as good as any of the GM motors, actually, one of the most reliable, other then the 3800

if your looking to mod the car and make alot of power the 2.4 is what you want. but you can do a 3400 swap. Personally, i would just mod what you have now and have fun with it.

I guess it does kind of make more sense to mod the 2.4, I'd probably get a lot more bang for my buck, eh?
