i finally got around to taking some pics of my car. 92 grand am se with 165,003 miles--got it about 6 months ago for $300. took alot of cleaning up. looked like they were raising goats in the inside of it. i completely gutted the interior and cleaned it all up.

Wow. That car is in incredible condition. Being from Canada, I'm not used to seeing older cars in that condition. And...$300. That's amazing. Surely you had to put some money in to it?

You did a great job cleaning it up. Might wanna clean up the seatbelts, that pass belt looks dirty still. How does the engine/tranny feel?

yea ,seat belts are still dirty. i'm gonna see if i can find a set at the j/y--the pass side is ripped. the engine runs fine, just had to replace the tranny though, the wife ran over a muffler on the highway and cracked the case. she said it fell off the car in front of her and she had no time to react. found a low mileage tranny (43,000) for $150. the only other thing i had to do was replace the abs unit and the drivers side window regulator. i got both out of the j/y for $12. i don't know why the back end sits so high, the tires are 215-60 r 14s , i guess i could go with bigger tires, but that'll wait till these ones wear out (85%) tread left. its still not perfect--it needs a windshield, the paint on the hood is peeling, and it's gonna need an exhaust soon. but hey it beats a car payment.

thanks guys, appreciate the comments. when i first brought it home the wife was mad, she told me to drive that hideous thing to the j/y. now she's in love with it, and she doesn't want me to drive it. wish i would have taken before pics

I love the white lettered tires. They make a great accent. I also love the paint color. I dunno why but it just looks great. For a $300 car that's a steal. Look at my ride at My '95 se. It's a freebie.

Looking good and even after the repairs it's still under $1000 you can't beat it!

Yeah those wheels aren't correct for that car. Either off a Sunbird or a older GrandAm.

Nice GA... really good looking considering what its been through!!! Should put 16s on it when these tires are worn and get some tint.. Car is in amazing shape!!!!
