Looking good man, I was thinking about getting one for my 98 after I figure out how I'm going to mount it because the trunk is different.
I also agree with Chris, the color is not very common. :)

Very nice and that color does look really nice. I think it would look great with the gt kit and sc/t kit

I don't have enough money for the gt conversion. If anything, I would try to get a sc/t hood. I do need to get that factory antenna off, it doesnt look good at all.
I just don't think that I want the aluminum antenna, because I don't want it to break off. With the stubby style, it is flimsy and won't break off. Any opinions about this?

I would also like some opinions about what should be done next. I am going to be focusing more on performance now. MSD spark plug wires and AC delco platinum plugs are what I will probably be getting next.

Debadge, cleaner look and easier to wax. A set of wheels would be a plus too.

it is a stock color, but it is so uncommon that it almost doesn't seem stock. there still out there. i just saw a coupe of the same color as mine yesterday.

very nice.. the spoiler is a great addition. Have you checked wreckers for a GT body kit? I found a GT bumper for around $100 if I remember correctly at a wrecker.

I like the color sometimes but to me in person it looks like its a dull finish. I have no idea why though.
Also wires and plugs wont give you any performance. They will just restore lost power if the current ones are bad.

I know, but the lost power always helps with 80,000 miles on your car. this color is not made in the gt model. where did you see the the bumper? it would look a whole lot better with a gt conversion, but it would cost way to much :(

should i worry about fading on my car after i debadge it. i don't want to be able to read "grand am se" after i take it off because of color fading

You have a darker car so it will be hardly noticeable at all. Heck on my car you cant tell unless you are literally right agaisnt the paint.

That thing would look sick if it was an AED ga or in a GT

i can give u a reason y that color always looks dull to you in person. and theres a %99 chance that im right too. any aubrun mist GA u have seen in person probably wasnt very well taken care of. no care, no wax, no shine. i no this simple because Muncie Indiana is LOADED with rare color GA SEs. i saw 3 baby blue SEs parked in a row at the mall yesterday. ive seen a metallic gold GT. ive seen a slate gray: SE, SE1, GT, and SC/T. one of the things that REALLY pisses me off is that it is bluntly obvious that most of these rare GAs are poorly treated. my friend has an auburn mist GA and i wax and detailed it for her once. when she dropped it off it had some what of a dull finish to it so i used some buffing cream all over and then polish and wax. it looked great when she took it back. wish i had a picture of it. Grandam2006 ur car looks great. as far as ur atena goes. replace it with a rubber one that looks almost identical to the aluminum short stubby one. i spent $5 on mine at advance auto. its rubber so it wont break or bend and its short and attractive. heres a pic of mine.

see it chillin back there. lol. it sometimes takes on a sweptback look when im goin 60+ cuz its flexible. heres a closer shot.

go to a dealer or some sort of body shop, maybe a paint shop and tell them that u want a color match with ur car, they can mix together some paint and sell it to ya. glad to hear u got the new antena i bet it looks WAY better. share some pics if u got em. ive heard people talking about the dealer mixing some paint to match their car and actually putting it in a spray can. that would proly be ur best bet. good luck on ur search

One way is to head to any Pontiac dealership. Give them your VIN number and they can look up the paint code that your car came with stock. As long as you haven't painted it, you'll be fine. That's what I did with mine, now I just need to find the money to actually do something.

will the paint work for my interior? i thought that you had to have a special paint (duplicolor) in order for it to work on the interior.
