I know that there are probably other posts about this but I have not been able to find one that really answers my question. My original tranny failed in my GT. I replaced it with another used one from a salvage yard. It works fine other than the torque converter will remained locked after driving at highway speeds for 1/2 hour or so. Sometimes it will unlock if I floor it. Other times I have to put it in neutral. I don;t know if it is the TCC or if it is the kickdown cable because I just hooked it up to the throttle and never adjusted it. Right now the car isn;t on the road. Exhaust failed and came off the car taking all the rear brake lines with it and now the fuel pump quit. I do intend on putting this car back on the road and would like to repair everything before I do. Thanks for the help. If it could be the kickdown anyone know how to adjust it or better off just taking it to a tranny shop.
