Catalytic Converter mod question

i what to change my catalytic to a other that give me more hp.what catalytic is good to put in the 2.4l

Well I don't think you will get much for the cost. GM High Performance Magazine did a 2.4L Alero build up a fwe months ago. One of the first mods they did was put a Random Technologies hi-flow cat on. It only showed a VERY small gain. If I remember right it was about 4-hp and 2-lbtq. For $340+, I think you could find something better.

But if you wanna go that route I would suggest a hi-flo cat from Magnaflow ($95+) or Dynomax ($55+) both from Jegs, instead of wasting $340 on Random's.

eh they did that car the wrong way.. their intake sucked ass... and well I probably would've kicked their ass w/ my car

yeah they did. :mad: They weren't happy with it's performance and their cheap mods, so they just kept throwing nitrous at till they blew it. :( Sad you'd think a mag by that name would know how to hop up an engine.

Honestly they did jack squat with that car... What a 2.3 crank pulley!? homemade intake w/ the stock bong in the fender!? ... crappy exhaust.. goddamn... they're real tunerz there!! oh yeh... Anybody recall what the whp was on that olds w/ all their mods w/o nitrous?

If I ever get my car all setup nice and proper, and get some decent seats I'm going to send them a picture, a list of the modifications, a comment on how their olds sucked hardcore and well... a challenge to the supercharged 3.4's around so we can have a grand am shootout..
