My 2.2 GA died about 30 to 60 seconds after starting, it sputtered out. it has great cranking over power, but it wont start. i didnt hear the fuel pump prime up when i tried to start it again or when i just left the key in the "ON" posistion. so im thinking its Fuel Pump, but before i hand it over to the dealership or buy parts i would liek to see if anyone else has any ideas.
it would be greatly appriciated if anyone had an idea.

Have you looked into the possibility of Passlock shutting it down?

Does your "SECURITY" light flash? I *think* the SE's have this too...
Do a search, there is a easy process you can try but I don't recall the procedure.

hhmmmm, i dont know, im not at home with it. so ill have to check. ill search the internet about that, but if that is all that gives me issues. i didnt think it would just shut the fuel pump off.

Daniel, if I'm correct your area in N.Y. just had a very cold front and snow came thru. I would be led to beleive that you have a frozen fuel line and w/that you'll probably have water in your fuel tank. "Dry Gas" time and if it is a frozen fuel line your gas filter will need replaced-water logged/dirty. I would after the system been cleared and emptied, fill the tank and put injestor cleaner, etc. thru it (Lucas injector cleaner-great stuff!)

Oh, since it is cranking forget about Passlock...sorry.
Search here, it is a great function.

Also keep in mind that after a few ON to start key revolutions that the pump wont prime anymore as the pressure has built up in the lines.

Definitly is not water in the fuel tank. It got to freezing, and only dropped form 40 so it was not enough to create that much mositure. Check the fuel pump.Happened to me.

Do you have more than a 1/4 tank? If not ,get a can an put gas in it.

well, the damage is gonna b 711 bucks plus tax, and it was the fuel pump, wierd since it only has 65 thousand miles on it, but hey what ever, i only put high way miles and this thing and it still craps out on me. i cant get the car till tomarrow cause of my work scheduale so im obviously ticked, i miss my baby, funny note, um, never have your car flat bedded if its lowered or has stuff lower than the bumper on the front. it was being flat bedded backwards and almost tore off my second set of fog lamps.
