got on the thruway (290) and i was getting on via on ramp and pumped it to 50 for a yeild and out of no where. a huge turkey flys or glides whatever . right in front of the passenger side headlight. i hit it and it rolled up and over the car but left some beautiful cracks for me to replace.. i must admit that even though this is the first time i hit something its really not that bad..compared to what ive heard

I've seen turkeys go through windshields.

You hit a turkey? Awesome... Glad it just messed up the headlight area a little bit; coulda been worse, including injury to you.

wow... I hit a duck a few years ago with my old car... it broke the grille and my air filter was filled with feathers  like a year after it happened, when working on the engine, I'd still find occasional feathers. Good to see you're ok - with minimal damage

Glad to hear that you survived.

Dry off the headlight and put some liquid model cement on the crack. It will seal it. Get new "summer" headlights and keep the stockers for winters.

They sort of frown on that on the New York State Thruway. Just buy a big chicken at Wegmans.
