seafoamed? i'm confused, is this sometype of smoke machine mod, or did you get water in the intake, because that's what my car did after i sucked up water and finally got it to run?

seafoam is like an engine cleaner.... you can put it in your gas, oil, let the intake suck it up..... makes your car run better if its ideling rough or something like that.... great product... if you put it in the intake, all the carbon that was in there will go out your tail pipe... causing smoke :) or atleast i beleive thats how it works

Very nice.

My older cars would smoke like that when I'd use seafoam.

When I did it to my Grand Am last year there was only about 1 minute of smoke and then all clean.

Hey, Rocket. You have a 2.4, like me. Care to explain exactly what you did with the product. (instructions please)
Any noticeable differences since the treatment?

Through the PCV valve.

IIRC, the 2.4 doesn't have a PCV valve. That's one of the reasons I asked for instructions.

theres a vacum on the 2.4 TB,just take a small rubber vacum line(buy a small piece at the place you buy the Seafoam) and use the line to use the Seafoam

Any noticeable differences since the treatment? i used the vacuum on the fuel rail. The one that connects to the fpr. It helped with the idle.

I've never run this stuff through any of my vehicles and they're all fairly old. I can just imagine the stuff that would come out of the exhaust if this stuff actually works.

I just ran this stuff through my truck today, I dunno if it does anything since i havent driven it yet but sure was cool with how much smoke came out. Altough i sucked in a little more than the 1/3 it says on the can. I got that much in then i dunked the hose into the stuff and it sucked like half the can in at one time then killed the engine like I wanted.

I took a video of it too, to show a friend but after seeing everyones seafoam videos on here and youtube i fgured i'd post mine up. Seems like i got a little more smoke than most people. lol. It went on like this for another couple mins after the video ended. you cant even see the huge cloud in the video that was forming.

Steve that stuff works. I did it in my GA and in my truck. Both blew out all kinds of smoke. I do it twice a year because of the amount of mileage my vehicles see. Oh yeah my GA might be making a come back this summer.

I bought seafoam today and when i sucked just the tinyest bit up with my PC valve it stalled my car? when i started it again it smoked for like 10 seconds and then nothing.. did i do something wrong?

slowbird

No...more smoke should have come out....did you rev it after you started her up?

ab60188
05-09-2007, 04:13 PM
yea i reved it... but like i barley got any of the stuff up my intake due to it shutting my car off.. do you have to keep doing that process to get 1/3 of the can up there?

Oh yea...My buddies BMW took 2 tries. Start sputter Die...Start sputter die. On the second stall all this Seafoam coughed out the TB onto me...and by then the can was empty.

You need to suck up atleast 1/3 of a can.
