I think Im pretty sure I know what the problem is but just want to see if others think the same. A couple months ago I starting having problems while accelerating. Come to find out I needed new spark plug boots, the stock ones were shot(when I say stock, the originals, lol). The current problem, been one for a while, just want to fix it. At idle the motor seems to sputter a little bit, like a slight miss fire. No check engine light, never have for a slight miss fire. There could be a random miss fire code that isn't triggering the light.
Im thinking possibly injectors? Just not operating well at idle but work ok at normal driving/accelerating. I have ran injector cleaner before(just once) and didn't seem to help. Might do it one more time for sh1ts and giggles. They are factory injectors. Ive been very happy with this car, lol, very few stops to the shop for problems.

My 96 2.4 does the same thing, Ive asked about this before also, and it just seems to be something unsolvable. Could be a slight vac leak, dirty injector, restrictive exhaust or intake. Ive chased this problem before and can't seem to find whats causing it. Good luck and if you do resolve it, let us know.

mine used to, but once I got the new motor it stopped (lol)
I think its just associated with age... I bet a teardown/clean/machine/rebuild would fix it, but its not that bad, however a bit annoying :( -- Im just waiting for the day my new motor does it

still doing it but Im pretty much done on any real expectations with this car. I love it but I hate it as well. If I had a J-Body w/2.4 or the newer GA w/2.4 Id probably be a littler happier. Think Im wussing out on the custom build stuff, just don't make enough money for custom stuff right now. Right now bolt on performance s what Im after.

well I don't have a problem with leaking coolant, did LONG time ago,no problem of that now.
Have already got new spark plug boots,no more than 200 miles ago. That was mainly an acceleration problem, not at idle
