man it took me like 5 hours to clay my entire car, what was I doing wrong (dont get me wrong it was pretty easy after I got the hang of it, but my clay was hard to knead) -- I was using the clay magic kit coupe suggested - maybe next time Ill try meg's stuff?

5 hours, wow, thats a bit to long. I could clay a car your size in under an hour. But being your first time and also taking your time i can see it taking 5 hours.
As far as it being hard to kneed, well thats kinda normal. Also colder the temp the harder it will be.
3 things i learned that helps.
1. Put the clay in a sandwhich bag with a squirt of quick detailer. Put the bag in your front or back pocket. Procede to wash and dry your car. By the time your ready to clay it should be pretty soft from your body heat.
2. While your claying have a bucket of hot/warm water near by. When it gets hard to kneed dip it in the water for a few seconds. Should soften it right back up.
3. Dont be a pansy :D
