Well I've owned the car since September of 05'. It was completely stock with 68k on it. I first tinted and put the tires on it. Then not long ago I put the new filter on. I'm not sure if I should keep going, I'm looking for a manual rwd or awd right now. I've gotten into autocross and most people have said that I'm the only Grand Am they've seen race. I wondered if anyone else does autocross or is everyone on here just all show no go? Recently I've been kicking ass :roll2: Got 5th place in my class at the Motorsport Mile in Hastings, Nebraska. Here are some pictures I've collected since I've had it, no stock pictures though. :P

Thanks alot! Signs of OCD show up when it comes to cars, so it has to be top notch. It's starting to show wear and tear of 9 years of abuse though. Generally idiots at my school opening doors like their car is about to blow up.

The pressing question: How many sets of tires do you use up a year? ;)

Well, I have to rotate my back to front, and those will last another 3-4 races. And streetable for the rest of the summer. But since there are 14 more races to go... I will have to buy new tires anyways. The Nexen N3000 I'm running now were 90 bucks a tire. Not terrible for a large 225 high end tire. I think I need to add 1 or 2 degrees of camber cause I'm getting some wear on the outside sidewall.
Very nice and clean ride, is that the original paint? Like the wheels too.

original paint
Yes, believe it or not. :) The owner before me took really good care of it. He has kept everything from notes, receits, original window sticker(I couldn't believe the car cost 17,000 new! ) The 2nd owner didn't really care much at all, but he only had it for a few months. Now it's my turn to continue the legacy. :P I want to try and claybar it someday, and rewax it. Could use some touch up too, but that will be for summer.
what kind
Nexen N3000 I think is what they are called. its like 225/45/17 I think :???:

Okay camera won't do it justice right now, in my garage at night.

Man I think Im gonna be sick after watching the vid.
You do need a set of dedicated tires for the track. WAY WAY too much break out in them. Id suggest bitting the bullet and getting stock rims and some great summer high performance tires.
Seriously looks good though.

Hey everyone! So, if anyone is interested in autocrossing and is free May 6th. Come to the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs Iowa. More detail here : http://nrscca.com/events.php?event_id=16
I'm going to rework my camera mount, and I'll be sure to get more pictures taken

Your car looks pretty nice! :) I didn't know that you raced...I am going to have to find out more information about that as I'm pretty interested in doing that sort of thing with my car too. :) Such a risk though...if something goes wrong.

I used a K&N filter umm specs were I think 3 1/3 or sumthing like that its length is 8 or 9 inches and width is 6 or 7. I'm going to have to make a how to cram a large filter in to your fender well for CAI when I get to it lol... And King don't worry, if your car is in good shape it will be fine. Tire wise you are looking at alot more wear, but it is totally up to you on how hard you drive yout car. For me I drive it hard, but I know that my car is running in really good condition right now.
