I clipped a deer this morning on the way home from work and since I dropped full coverage last year I'm going to attempt this myself. The area around the headlight mounts is smashed so that will have to be replaced. Is this a entire piece that runs across the front behind the bumper and grill or are the sides individually replaceable? Also can it be replaced by just taking the grill and/or bumper skin off or will it require the actual bumper assembly to come off? Obviously the fender will need replaced (and the fenderwell liner) but that should be fairly straight forward. Here is a couple of pics. Not pretty but could have been a lot worse.

Try popping the hood and get some pictures around that headlight. That way we know exactly how much damage is involved.

The lights are attached to a header panel. You can get the fender, header and headlights on ebay.

The header is one piece. It'll be easier to take the bumper cover off. There's three bolts holding each side to the fenders and a bunch of clips.

Tenspeed thanks! I was hoping for 2 pieces so I could find one wrecked on the passenger side and only buy what I need. I'll check around and see what I can find locally. I'm on kind of a time restraint to get them off ebay.

Nighthawk, under the hood really doesn't show anything. Anything hard plastic behind the headlights is shattered and gone. The only thing behind it now is the washer fluid reservoir and the air inlet to the air cleaner. I do think I'll post some pics as I take it apart though so everyone can see what is under the skin of their GA.

Thanks for the advice and if anyone has any parts cheap, let me know.

I just remembered I was going to post pics of the disassembly. Not really much to see but I'll post them anyway. The replacement was pretty easy except for all the *^&&%$$# clips and bolts.

Looks like you used the original bumper? Good choice, it didn't look like it needed much to be back to normal, it was more of a side corner hit.

Blackhawk, yes I used the original. Other than some existing chips, scuffs it was fine. And its getting awfully close to 200,000 miles so I'm not really inclined to spend a lot of big money on it.
