I know this may sound dorky, but on the registration it asked for a club. We don't belong to a local club, but would this site be the club to use ? Anything else to know ? We are somewhat local, so lodging is not a concern. We have gone to the show numerous years, this is just the first one entering a vehicle.

Not sure if they do it, but best club (meaning most participants) usually takes a trophy home, so this would be something fun we could do and hopefully win... then we could give it to shawn and kelly when we go to albany for all the hard work they've done w/ this site

Yeah her car is definately clean, and I really can't knock the dude with the 73. It's got all of us beat in the age catagory so most people are going to choose it just for that, but when I pulled in and was parking, he refused to move so I could get in the spot. I had to go around over by the GP's and pull forward and inch up till he moved his ass out of the way. :lol:

At least 2 GAOCers took stuff home this weekend. Maybe next year we'll get a sweep in the class.

My worst sunburn happened in Carlisle too... looked like a lobster and got sun poisoning in 2003. I rock the SPF 48 now. I kinda goofed on the application... had a sleeveless T on, missed a narrow band around the back of my arms near my shoulders. Looks like someone put a backpack on me that was 400 degrees, then followed up with a couple slaps to add some finger size marks for variety. :lol:

I am so proud of my wife winning second place. She worked really hard on the car, but never expected to win anything.
We have entered it in 2 local (York, Pa.) shows, but nothing like Carlisle. She is on cloud 9 !!
Sorry we did not get to hang with you all all a little bit. It was our first show, so we felt like newbies and did not want to overstep our bounds. Kinda awkward. Felt like the new kids in class. You all made us feel more comfortable when you came and chatted with us though. :)

There was some sweet competition there for sure.
Bummer to lose to the 73 but hey, gotta give the guy credit for a sweet car.

It would be sweet to get to Albany, but I don't think it's possible this year. :(

no they realy are. i clearly remember seeing that car. . i can't remember how far back i saw the picture in the members rides though. but they are/were members. but hey, i wouldnt worry about it if they were that rude.

I first saw it last GM nats,and I'm pretty sure I've seen pics of it on here too. That tribal on the door isn't something you'd see on alot of other GA's. I'd almost bet on seeing it here before. hmmm who knows..... I didn't speak to either of them, but I was looking at the GP's in the row behind us, and they were just "ice grillin" me. lol I waved and said whats up, but they gave me no response. They might have just been shocked by my sunburn. lol
